Why Naples is hard to top
Italy has many fantastic vacation destinations, but there’s something wonderfully unique about Naples. Italy’s third-largest city is steeped in history, originating around the 7th century BC.
A beautiful blend of the ancient and modern is waiting to be discovered. For example, you can visit the remarkable ruins at Pompeii and wander through the ancient tombs at Catacombe di San Gennaro. On the same day, you could browse the stores in Via Toledo and appreciate the contemporary art at places such as Museo Madre and Palace for the Arts in Naples, known simply as PAN.
Naples is also the birthplace of pizza, so it would be rude not to indulge at every opportunity!
