Situated in the Canadian province of British Colombia at the confluence of two rivers, Kamloops is a charming resort town close to a multitude of natural attractions and enjoyably reached by both road and rail. To the north of town are ski runs come winter, converting to hiking trails and bike tracks in the less snowy months, while to the east of Kamloops British Colombia Wildlife Park provides safe, close-up encounters with local residents including bears and cougars. Even staying within the town center visitors will find plenty to amuse themselves, with Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park an obvious place to start.
